1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers
Kron is operated by Paleo Holdings, LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Kron," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This Policy covers the Kron mobile application, the website at kron.watch, and any related services we operate (together, the "Services").
It does not cover the practices of the marketplaces and sellers whose listings appear in Kron. When you leave Kron to view or purchase a watch, that marketplace's own privacy policy governs what happens there.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Account information. Your email address and authentication credentials when you create an account.
- Hunts. The search criteria you save, such as brand, reference number, year range, maximum price, and condition requirements.
- Saved listings. Which listings you have saved.
- Portfolio entries. Watches you record as owning, including any purchase price, purchase date, notes, and photographs you choose to add.
- Communications. Messages you send us for support, and your email address if you join a waitlist or mailing list.
Information collected automatically
- Operational records. Which listings matched your hunts, whether an alert was delivered, and when a hunt last ran. Kron contains no analytics software and no crash reporting software of its own. If you have turned on sharing with developers in your device settings, Apple may provide us with crash reports.
- Device information. When the app checks for an update or registers for notifications, the providers delivering those features receive your platform and operating system version along with an installation identifier that is not tied to your account.
- Push notification tokens, if you enable notifications, so we can deliver hunt alerts.
- Subscription status. Whether you hold an active subscription, as reported to us by the App Store.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
We think what we deliberately leave out matters as much as what we gather.
- We do not collect your payment information. Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We never see or store your card details.
- We do not collect your precise location. Kron has no location permission and does not track where you are.
- We do not collect seller identities. When we process a marketplace listing, we deliberately exclude the seller's username and any other seller identifier, and we retain only country and state or province from the item's location. We do not retain a seller's city or postal code.
- We do not collect your contacts, photos library, microphone, or calendar. Photographs enter Kron only when you deliberately attach one to a portfolio entry.
- We do not use tracking pixels or advertising identifiers, and Kron contains no advertising network.
4. Marketplace Listing Data and Automated Analysis
Kron reads publicly available watch listings from third-party marketplaces and uses automated systems, including large language models operated by our service providers, to summarize what a seller has and has not stated about a watch.
Your personal information is not sent to those automated systems. Only the publicly available text of a marketplace listing is processed. Your account, your hunts, your saved listings, and your portfolio are never transmitted to an AI provider.
Listing data we retain is public marketplace content, not personal information about you. We retain it to power browsing, price context, and hunt matching, and we remove seller identifiers before storage as described above.
5. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the Services, including browsing, saving, hunting, and portfolio tracking.
- To match active hunts against new listings and notify you when something matches.
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To determine your subscription entitlements.
- To respond to support requests.
- To diagnose defects, monitor performance, and improve the Services.
- To protect the security and integrity of the Services and to detect abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
6. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share information with service providers who perform functions on our behalf and who are permitted to use it only for those functions:

We may also disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required to comply with law or legal process, to enforce our agreements, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Kron, our users, or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.
7. De-identified and Aggregated Information
We may create de-identified or aggregated information that does not identify you, such as statistics about which references are most watched or how asking prices move over time, and we may use and retain that information indefinitely. We will not attempt to re-identify it.
8. Affiliate Links and Commissions
Kron may participate in affiliate programs operated by marketplaces. When you follow a link from Kron to a marketplace, that marketplace may record that the visit originated from Kron so that a commission can be attributed, and we may receive a commission if you make a purchase.
We do not receive information about what you personally bought, and commission attribution never affects which listings Kron shows you or how their contents are described.
9. Children's Privacy
Kron is not directed to children and is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at privacy@kron.watch.
10. Data Retention
We retain your account information and the content you create for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Public marketplace listing data is retained independently of any user account and is not deleted when an account is deleted, because it is not personal information about you.
De-identified and aggregated information may be retained indefinitely.
11. Your Rights and Choices
You can review and change your hunts, saved listings, and portfolio entries at any time in the app, and you can delete your account from within the app or by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate information, to request deletion, to obtain a portable copy, and to appeal a denial of any of these requests.
Residents of Texas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia, among other states, have these rights under state law. Texas residents also have the right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. Kron does not engage in any of these activities.
To exercise any right, email privacy@kron.watch. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls that restrict each account to its own data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Users Located Outside the United States
Kron is operated from the United States and our service providers are located in the United States. If you use the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and if the changes are material we will provide notice in the app or by email before they take effect.
